The Excellence Award

Go beyond verbal praise and make great memories too by creating an Excellence Award for your family. You can make a handmade plaque, create an award from poster board, or even give new life to an old trophy (thrift stores have lots of these).

Slip the "winner's" name on the award when something exemplary occurs. These could be things that happen at school, but make sure to award displays of character at home as well. Don't forget to keep a log of the achievements so that your family can look over them together every year or so!
