Do you have a traffic jam of children's artwork trying to make its way to your refrigerator?

If so, try taking your children's beautiful art pieces to a printer (Office Max or Kinko's). Here you can have the art reduced down to a 4 x 6" size that you can have made into a magnet to display on the refrigerator. Even the large art pieces can be shrunk in this way. It's a great way to still be able to display your children's art and yet manage space in your home.

Another idea for all of those 3 dimensional art pieces is to take a picture of your child holding their precious pieces of art. This way you can have a keepsake of all of their artwork while still maintaining storage space in your home. You and your child can pick those precious few pieces that you actually keep, and the rest can be kept as pictures in a special scrapbook for each child.

Betsy:  I enjoyed meeting you at Harvest U.  Heather has been so blessed by your ministry to her in the past.  I took all of her letters she wrote during college and reduced them as well.  I made a scrapbook when she got married of "Baby to Bride" and I enclosed these letters are a chronicle of the ebb and flow of college life.  This could be done with children's artwork as well: reduced and put into a scrapbook.  Now I am collecting my "art to
Mimi" from the grandkids.  It brings me much joy to look at their work and see how they are growing as budding artists.  I love reading your articles and learn so much when I do.

I love my artists portfolio folder that I purchased at The Container Store.  I reserve it for the best pieces of art for each child and it only works for flat creations, not 3-D.  But it is easy to access in my closet and I can be confident that they will be well-preserved.
